About

the word pro

My energy and love of the English language led me into the world of marketing and sales promotion, where for many happy years I worked with a selection of Clients in all areas of the promotional marketing mix. 

The most important element of my work was the ability to adjust the communication - written or spoken - 
to reflect the brand, the message and the audience. 

During my London based career, I worked with international brands such as Benson and Hedges, Kodak, 
and Burger King.

Since moving to the Netherlands, I have broadened my skills set with my passion for English being at the heart of everything I do. I have successfully taught, translated and copy written English for over a decade.

 I moved on to combine my international marketing background with translating and writing whilst working for 
JC-Electronics. It was then that I realised that working with the English language is truly my happy place. Using my years of marketing experience as a rock solid foundation, I use my extensive language skills to help companies with international ambitions reach their English speaking markets. And 'the word pro' was born.

Using my passion for the English language and my extensive marketing background, I take your business' content and tone of voice, and turn them in to marketing magic. Communicating directly to an English speaking market using the nuances and understanding of a talented native speaker, I provide effective and powerful translations.

I provide content for all aspects of your communication with international brands. Working with your specific goals and target markets, I can write effective text for all elements of the marketing mix.

Voice Overs


My love of the English language is not confined to the written word. I am able to provide voice overs for all business films and advertorials in a clear, neutral native English voice.
